Events: HAAR provides ample opportunities for its members to come together and learn, meet contemporaries with similar business interests and reconnect with long time friends. Two of HAAR’s special events are: the annual Officers and Directors Installation banquet, and the REALTOR Expo.

Mediation Program: Mediation is a voluntary process which people in dispute can use to reach an agreement. With the help of an impartial mediator they work toward a mutually acceptable solution. The HAAR Mediation program is offered to REALTOR members and their customers.

AAR REALTOR Benefits: The Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR) serves as the voice of the real estate industry in Alabama, as the official advocate of Alabama's multifaceted real estate industry before state, local and federal government.

Services provided to members include:

     - public policy advocacy ? professional and licensed-related education

     - several annual meetings and conferences

     - regular publications including Alabama REALTOR®

     - The Association also administers the Alabama REALTORS® Political Action Committee (ARPAC), the official political action committee representing the interests of the Alabama real estate industry.


GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: The Government Affairs Department is staffed by an in house Government Affairs Director and employs contract lobbyists to assist in the legislative affairs of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®. The Alabama Association of REALTORS® has a Government Affairs Committee which is charged with monitoring and amending legislation with the guidance of the staff and lobbying team. As a state Association our primary focus is to be the voice of real estate in Alabama and to protect the rights of our members and the clients they serve. We monitor several bills annually during the legislative session as well as draft and pre file those bills applicable to our members. The Political Action Committees and Issues Mobilization Committee assist in disseminating funds for implementation in order to help elect REALTOR® friendly legislators, sponsor bills, and attend meetings crucial to our legislative position and success
